Step 1: Create Your Account

- •Check your inbox for a verification email from NYYU
- •Click the verification link within 24 hours
- •If you don't see the email, check your spam folder
Don't use easily guessable passwords like "password123" or your birthday. Use a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords. Your account security is crucial for protecting your assets.
Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Write down your 2FA backup codes and store them in a safe place. If you lose access to your authenticator app without backup codes, you may permanently lose access to your account. Never store backup codes digitally or on the same device.
Step 3: Complete KYC Verification

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification unlocks higher deposit/withdrawal limits and access to all platform features.

- Take a selfie for liveness check (follow the on-screen instructions)
- Submit and wait for review (you'll receive an email notification)
• Ensure documents are in focus, not blurry or cut off
• Use good lighting - avoid shadows and glare
• Make sure all text and details are clearly visible
• Documents should not be expired
• Proof of address must be dated within the last 3 months

Set a unique code that appears in all official NYYU emails to help you identify legitimate communications.

- Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
- Copy your unique deposit address or scan the QR code
- Send crypto from your external wallet to this address
- Wait for network confirmations (BTC: 3 confirmations, ETH: 12 confirmations)
- Funds will appear in your wallet after confirmation
• Double-check the deposit address before sending funds
• Only send the matching cryptocurrency to its specific address (BTC to BTC address, ETH to ETH address)
• Sending the wrong cryptocurrency or to the wrong network will result in permanent loss of funds
• Start with a small test transaction first if you're unsure
• Never share your deposit address publicly or with untrusted parties

Common Mistakes to Avoid

If you lose your 2FA device without backup codes, account recovery can take days or weeks. Save them securely.
Sending tokens on the wrong network (e.g., USDT on Ethereum instead of Tron) will result in permanent loss of funds.
